New Zealand Police reported on Saturday (16) that 28 year old Australian Brenton Tarrant acted alone on the attack of twin mosque in Christchurch.
The suspect who is a self-described white supremacist, live-streamed the attack on Facebook.
Fifty people were killed and 50 injured in what is New Zealand’s worst attack. And two remain to be in critical condition.
The police said they were working a round the clock to identify the victims of the attack. Keeping in mind the the cultural and religious needs of the victims.
On Saturday (16), the main suspect appeared in court in a white prison shirt and handcuffs, smiling for the cameras.
The police said they did not believe that two people arrested near the scene were involved. A woman was released without charge and a man was charged with firearms offenses.
