A heated argument broke out in Parliament today over the no-confidence motion on Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.
The heated exchange took place after the Government declined to agree to debate the no-confidence motion.
The Government claimed that Speaker Karu Jayasuriya appoint a Parliament Select Committee to examine the Easter Sunday attacks and matters related to it.
However the joint opposition claimed that a date be set to discuss the no-confidence motion on Minister Rishad Bathiudeen.
Speaker Karu Jayasuriya said that party leaders will meet today (23) and decide the next step.
