Chinese mobile phone manufacturer Huawei today guaranteed Sri Lankan customers of it continuous support for present, existing Huawei smartphones in the market after Google adjourned its services with Huawei.
Huawei said that it has made extensive contributions to the development and growth of Android around the world.
In a statement today Huawei said that as one of the key global partners, they have worked closely with their open source platform to develop an ecosystem that has advanced both users and the industry.
Huawei said it will continue to provide security updates and after sales services to all current Huawei and Honor smartphone and tablet products covering those which have been sold or is still in stock worldwide.
The move is a setback to the Chinese technology company that the US Government has wanted to blacklist around the world.
