With regards to the resettlement of Muslim Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Wilpattu. Government Minister Rishad Bathiudeen has said he has not done anything wrong or illegal.
The Muslims displaced during the war have been relocated legally in the area said the minister at a recent parliament hearing.
I have been unfairly criticized for the Wilpattu issue on various social media platforms. The minster also stated that the resettlement was handed over in 2012.
A petition has been fixed by the court on 28th March against Bathiudenn seeking the prohibition of deforestation in Wilpattu.
The Wilpattu issue has been raging in social media for a couple of months. It can be seen all Sri Lankans are rounding around the issue to stop the deforestation leaving ethnicity, religion and race aside.
