A committee appointed by the United National Party (UNP) to investigate claims made by State Minister Ranjan Ramanayake that some Parliamentarians use cocaine, has found that the allegations are unsubstantiated.
The report by the committee was handed over to the UNP Working Committee today.
Non-cabinet Minister Dr. Harsha de Silva said that the names of the MPs Ramanayake accused, was read out at the Working Committee meeting today.
“Kirielle, Eran, Ashu n lawyer Mahesh Kalugampitiya committee says Ranjan allegations on cocaine using #SriLanka MPs are unsubstantiated; need evidence. However entire list of names given by Ranjan (read out at working com; NO current UNP MPs) sent to CID,” Dr. Harsha de Silva tweeted.
