Two of Sri Lanka’s main cable TV operators, Dialog and SLT, have removed debated Islamic preacher Zakir Naik’s Peace TV from their channel list.
The move came after the fatal Easter Sunday bombings which killed at least 250 people.
However, the Sri Lankan government hasn’t barred the controversial Peace TV, India Today reported.
Earlier, India and Bangladesh had barred the channel founded by Zakir Naik.
Bangladesh banned the channel that featured Zakir Naik’s preaching’s after media stated that militants who attacked a Dhaka cafe in 2016 were his followers.
