The US considers members of the militant group responsible for Sri Lanka’s Easter Sunday attacks may be at large and planning more assaults, US Ambassador to Sri Lanka, Alaina Teplitz has told Reuters.
“We do believe that the terrorist risk is ongoing and there may be active conspirators. Active members of the attack group that carried out the terror attacks on Easter Sunday may still be at large,” Ambassador Teplitz said.
“We definitely have reason to consider that the active attack group has not been fully reduced quiet. We do believe that there is active planning ongoing,” added the Ambassador.
